Hidden Treasures Card Set (Kaisercraft & Cardabilities inspired)

Who's in the mood for some card making?

I am!

Today, I created this card set with the Kaisercraft Hidden Treasures collection.

I also played along with 2 different Saturday challenges over on the Kaisercraft blog.

The August 2nd challenge is to create a birthday card.

I took the opportunity to also play along with the latest Cardabilities challenge
and therefore used beautiful Sketch #105 as my main design inspiration.

I just flipped the sketch horizontally and I kept my card simple
yet added different birthday elements like the sentiment, a flag and a banner.

My next 2 cards in the set are both inspired by the Kaisercraft August 9th challenge
which is also to create a card of any style, but to include the following 3 items:

- something SPARKLY (metallic design on paper & rhinestones)
- an element that's MULTIDIMENSIONAL (lots of layering using 3D dots)
- something FLORAL (Kaisercraft collectables and paper blooms)

As you can see, there is a metallic shimmer to the Hidden Treasures paper (from the 6.5x6.5 paper pack) that I added to the background and I added touches of sparkle with gold rhinestones.

I didn't really have a multidimensional sticker that matched this collection so to give it that effect, i added many layers using 3D dots and tucked in some Wood Flourishes that add on depth.

I used the same techniques and elements for my 2nd card inspired by this challenge.

The Hidden Treasures collectables are full of beautiful flower diecuts
including this big one that I matched with some mini paper blooms.

Now, back to my craft table!!!
