RELAX tag
(More Than Words DT - July Mini Challenge)

It's Mini Challenge time over on the More Than Words blog,
and this is my tag created especially for it, using the July mini word!

Take a look at the July Mini Challenge board:

Click HERE to find out all you need to know about the Mini Challenge
and to see gorgeous inspiration from the More Than Words DT.
Remember that in order to participate, you have to share your project
on the More Than Words FB page right HERE by the end of the month.

I clearly wanted to continue on with the Main Challenge BEACH theme
for which the word RELAX was perfect.  I spelled it out on my tag
using alpha stickers and added a cool quote to go along with the theme.

I had these flip flops layered stickers for a long time in my stash
and finally had the perfect opportunity to use them.

I sprayed some adhesive and then went a little crazy with the art stones and beads!

Will you play along with us at More Than Words?!

I am looking forward to see your Mini creations using this word!

Country Card Trio
(Dusty Attic DT - July Mood Board)

Take a look at the trio of cards that I created,
inspired by the fun and beautiful July Dusty Attic mood board !

Here is this superb mood board, if you haven't already seen it!

I was obviously inspired by the colours of the images
as well as the vintage country feelings that they evoke.

I love creating sets of matching cards, sometimes to sell or just to give away,
as it allows me to use up my scraps of paper and lots of different chipboard pieces.
I love to make each card unique but still part of a coordinating set.

Friend Thank You card

On this first card, I started off with a deep red base and used some papers from Pion Design. I added one of the new Delicate Frame #2 among the layers of paper and used a sentiment from the Mini Captions #8 as the greeting. I then decorated with a Heart Arrows #2 and a Baroque Flourish.

Be Happy card

For this card, I opted for a pale blue base, the other dominant colour from the board. How cute does it look with the deep red?  I love it! I used the Bird Houses as the focal point and created the sentiment by using the 'happy' from the Word Pack #14 and adding some alpha stickers.

Remember Today Birthday card

Card #3 incorporates the same colour scheme and also lots of flowers including some pieces from the Dusty in Bloom Blue Bonnet set. I added a Decorative Frame, a title from Mini Captions #10, a lovely Watering Can and some cute Mini Dragonflies.

I treated all the chipboard in a similar fashion. I colored some pieces with red and dark blue Copic markers and dabbed them with white paint. Other pieces, I covered with light blue embossing powder.

Here are the products used and a link to them on the Dusty Attic website.

HELLO SUNSHINE Layout
(Sketchabilities DT - July Sketch #151
+ Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo July Challenge)

Are you ready for a brand new Sketchabilities-inspired layout?

Here is the awesome July sketch from Sketchabilities.
Click HERE for all the details on how to join in on the sketchy fun!

Again this month, I thought I would combine this Sketchabilities sketch
with the current challenge at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

The July challenge is to be inspired by the sun, so obviously, I have decided to use Summertime photos of a beautiful day under the sun and even incorporated my very own sun made out of sparkly yellow cardstock and used 'Hello Sunshine' as my title.

I wanted my page to be very fun and happy (just like a Summer day),
so I used a plaid yellow background and very bright pinks as accents
which went along perfectly with the pictures of little Celeste and Jade.

Like on the sketch, I added some tags which I love to use!

I picked some yellow and pink flowers and added some good
old fashioned brads as flower centers and decorations.

I absolutely love how my layout turned out.
I find that it incorporates the essence of Summer and sunshine in a very girly way.

I hope you like it and that I will have inspired you to play along
to both the Sketchabilities and Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo challenges.
Why not combine the two as I did? :)

NEVER STOP DREAMING Layout
(Dusty Attic DT)

Hello everyone!

It's my turn to be on the Dusty Attic blog today
to share my 1st DT reveal for July.

I was inspired to create an elegant and feminine layout using
a combination of old and new chipboard. This layout is all about
following your dreams and always believing in yourself.

I chose one of the new impact titles to go along with my theme.

Behind my photos can be seen the Floral Frame #2 and Fancy Frame #5.
I also added a few leaves from the Foliage #8 set in my flower clusters.

I decorated my page with some small resin flowers, a few pieces of flair
and of course more chipboard, as in a Word Tag and a Mini Clock Face
which I colored with embossing powder. I love how the sketch lines on the chipboard
really stand out when using embossing powder.

I used a mix of tangerine and fuschia powders on some of my chipboard,
just as shown below on the frame border and piece of floral frame.
I added a medium butterfly as well as mini butterflies
on which I used a soft peach color to  match the resin flowers.

Take a closer look at the Floral Frame and how intricately beautiful it is!

And there it is... another project made beautiful with Dusty Attic chipboard.

LIFE IS GOOD AT THE BEACH Layout
(More Than Words DT - July Main Challenge)

Is it July yet!?

Well, yes, it is, and I am one happy lady!
I love the month of July with its warm and sunshiny days.

And of course, we have a brand new Main Challenge
over at More Than Words that will be sure to inspire you!

Here is my take on it:

Here is the July MTW Main Challenge:
Word Inspiration - BEACH
Creative Challenge - SEASHELLS

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

This month's word was fairly easy to scrap for me as I am lucky enough
to live about a 5 minute drive from the Atlantic ocean, so you can say
that the BEACH is almost at my doorstep. It's a place where I go
to seek peace, harmony and sunshine.

I incorporated the creative challenge on my layout by adding
some Dusty Attic chipboard SEASHELLS.

As mentioned above, all the chipboard on my page are from Dusty Attic.
I used a combination of embossing powders and several paints on them.

I love this photo and how it represents my love of the beach.

I used cheesecloth on my page to create a wavy frothy effect, just like the waves
of the ocean, and added some Lindy's spray by misting it and also creating
some circle pattern by dipping the cap into it and using it as a stamp.

I used some kraft paper stickers and tags, reminding me of the colour of sand,
to go along with the different shades of blue of my background paper.

I love how this layout turned out.
I hope that it inspires you to play along with us at More Than Words this month!
