Gone Fishing
(BoBunny double-page LO & VIDEO)

I have been a very busy gal the past couple weeks planning and creating for Round 2 of the BoBunny DT Call!

I have created 2 projects with their complete Take a Hike collection along with other favorite BoBunny products and one of these was my first ever video tutorial that is now available for viewing on YouTube.

So I thought I would share it with you all as well as close up shots of my project, a double page layout of my father in law doing what he loves best!

CLICK BELOW to view my process video!

I would appreciate if you subscribed to my challenge and gave it a thumbs up if you like. :)

Of course, it being my very first, it is not perfect and I have much room for improvement, but they say that practice makes perfect, and one thing's for sure, I will be doing more videos in the future so I intend on getting lots of practice!!

Now let's take a closer look at both sides of my double spread.

As you can see, this collection was just perfect for these fun pictures!

I used many of the Take a Hike embellishments and even fussy cut my title out of the patterned papers.  There was so many fabulous pieces to choose from!

I added some stenciling, stamping and Foil Transfers, all from BoBunny.

Now that is a man who is very content... right in his element!

Hope you enjoy!!

Art Tag
(More Than Words Mini Challenge)

There's one week before the end of the month, and that means that it's time for another Mini Challenge over on the More Than Words blog!

Tags are my new favorite things to create, so I went all mixed media on this one.

As you will have guessed, the mini word for June is: ART

Check out more DT inspiration and all the challenge rules right HERE.
You have to include the word ART on a card, tag or ATC and share it on
the More Than Words Facebook page by the end of the month to be eligible to win!

I went in search of the right letters in my huge stash of chipboard and grunge alphabet.

I added some microbeads and glitter glass as well as sequins stars for a very sparkly look.

Here's to hoping you will play along with us in the coming week!

Belle Journée Card Set
(Scraps of Elegance "Belle Journée" Kit)

Hello everyone!

I wasn't sure I would have the time, but I had so many nice leftovers from the beautiful "Belle Journée" kit from Scraps of Elegance that I just had to use them up!

So I created a set of 3 cards, each one for a different occasion, and, once again, you see featured the very elegant "Soirée" collection from BoBunny.

First of all is a card to celebrate the purchase of a brand new home.

I colored the ribbon and chipboard BFS key with Ranger Distress Stain.

Second is this card especially made for a co-worker's retirement.

The focal point of this card is definitely the stunning ... from Prima.

And last is this inspirational card that could be used for many occasion, perhaps as a pick me upper for a special friend.

I thought that these 2 sentiments went so well together.

Well, that's it, friends!

I created 4 layouts and 3 cards with the "Belle Journée" kit, and now I cannot wait to start creating with the next one!  For more information on Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance kits, click HERE.

Sweet Life
(Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal)

It's time for another Stuck?! Sketches challenge reveal and this is my take!

I absolutely adore this sketch!
Click HERE for all the details and additional DT inspiration!
I really hope that you will play along.

Now for those who might have missed it, this was my June 1st Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal:

As you can see, that project is very similar to today's layout, and I did promise you double the fun back then!  So yes, you guessed it, I used both sketches together to create a double page spread.  It goes to show that the Stuck?! Sketches are so versatile and even 2 unrelated and different style sketches can be meshed together to create a continuous design over 2 pages.  Even if I don't do them as often nowadays, I still love double pages!

Again, I added a lot of stitches in different colours and paint splatters.

The stitching seems to pop out against the dark navy blue background!

And here again is little Tristan, happy and enjoying a beautiful day outdoors!

So let me know what you think?  Did you like my double page?
Would you like me to do more?

Stillness
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 2)

For part 2 of my Blue Fern Studios DT reveal, I went back in time a little and used the older collection, Autumn Anthology to go along with this fantastic photo taken by my friend Christine on her and her boyfriend's once in a lifetime trip to Turkey, last September.

Of course, due to the whole hot air balloon theme, I had to use this gorgeous piece called Olga's Layered Balloon.  I treated the bottom layer with black and espresso distress stains as well as dabs of blue paint, and covered the fancy top layer with Imagine Ink Melon embossing powder.

I stamped different travel-theme designs from the Journey and Postal Textures stamp sets on my background and fussy cut this pretty balloon from the papers.  The word Stillness seemed a perfect title for the photo and page!

I added the Organic Vine Corner that I separated and stuck each side of my flower cluster.
It was treated with distress stains, the same as the title and bottom layer of the balloon chipboard.

All main flowers are from Blue Fern Studios, including the blue flower which is from the Tranquil Roses set.  I altered it a little, removing its center and replacing it with a brown pearly brad.

How truly magical is this scene!?
My friend is very lucky to have been able to experience it and I wanted to create this layout for her as a keepsake.  I am sure that she will appreciate all the BFS goodies used on it!

Blue Fern Studios supplies used:

Patterned Papers: Autumn Anthology (Le Ballon, Robin)

Chipboard: Stillness, Organic Vine Corner, Olga's Layered Balloon

Stamps: Postal Textures, Journey, Love Story Set One

Flowers: Tranquil Roses, Courtship Blooms, Attic Charm Daisies

Imagine Ink: Embossing Powder (Melon)

Blissful Love
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 1)

I gave you a preview of the brand new Blue Fern Studios collection Attic Charm a week ago... and now am back for my DT reveal to share with you a little more.

As you can see, BFS has come up with another gorgeous line of soft pretty papers,
and beautiful flowers to go along with it!

For my title, I decided to combine the words Blissful and Love from two different sets.
I colored Blissful in Melon embossing powder and Love in mushroom.

I really loved this quote from the Calling Cards paper!  You can also see below an older BFS chipboard piece, the Blue Fern Frame, that was in my stash even before I joined the DT.  I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it, and I thought it looked quite nice with this setup.  I cut it into pieces to add a piece on either side of my photo and covered it with one of my favorite Imagine Ink tone by far, Peacock.

A very romantic page for a very happy couple in love!

Come back tomorrow for some more Blue Fern Studios inspiration!!

Blue Fern Studios supplies used:

Patterned paper: Attic Charm (Generation, Calling Cards)

Chipboard: Blissful, Love, Blue Fern Frame

Flowers: Attic Charm Glitter Roses, Attic Charm Daisies, Courtship Blooms

Imagine Ink: Embossing Powder (Peacock, Melon, Mushroom)
