Sweet As Butterfly Kisses Tag
(More Than Words March Mini Challenge)

It's time for another Mini Challenge at More Than Words,
and here is a tag created just for it!

Can you guess what the mini word is for March?

Click HERE to find out all you need to know about the Mini Challenge!
You will also be inspired by numerous beautiful DT projects
using the word SWEET.  You have until March 31st to share with us
your card, tag or ATC on the Facebook More Than Words page.

And now let's take a closer look at my SWEET tag!

I decided to follow up on the whole 'butterfly' creative challenge from
the MTW Main Challenge and used a beautiful butterfly as my focal point.

I used the word twice on my tag.

The tag was misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang spray and then dabbed with white paint.

The chipboard piece is from Blue Fern Studios and was covered with Imagine Ink embossing powder.  I added a generous amount of teal and pearl coloured microbeads, and there you go!  All done!

Now let's see what project you will create using the word SWEET!

Cute Kitty Cat (ScrapBerry's DT Reveal)

It is DT reveal day once again for me on the ScrapBerry's blog, and this time I have a very shabby chic layout to share with you using a super sweet collection called 'A Furry Little Story' that immediately inspired me because quite obviously I have a fur baby who I love to scrap about!

I chose to use the 'Hello Kitty' patterned paper as my background as I love word and script patterns.
I then cut out different size squares from 'Neighbourhood Meeting' and 'Kitty Cards' papers and displayed them in a diagonal tile design.

My main product inspiration for this layout was ScrapBerry's very own kitty called Basik!

The Basik & K collection is full of embellishments featuring Basik the cat, including cork stickers and fun brads which I have in my DT stash.  I colored the mouse brad (which you can see in my title in the first close-up photo) with a black Copic marker to match the rest of the my black accents.

How adorable is Basik and his little mouse friend?!  I thought they were perfect for the photo of Sugar and her stuffed mouse!  I also decorated my page with several chipboard die cuts, some adhesive gems and a beautiful flair especially made for kitties!

ScrapBerry's supply list:
12x12 Paper Collection - A Furry Little Story - SCB220608900B
(Hello Kitty, Neighbourhood Meeting, Yes I Am A Princess,
Kitty Cards 1, Kitty Cards 2)
SCB341307 - CorkStickers - Basik & K 1
SCB340944 - MetalBrads - Basik & K Cats & Mice
SCB350171 - Wooden Shape - Kitten
SCB340001091 - Flair Embellishments - You're My Everything
SCB300204 - Paper Flowers - Cherry Blossom Pink & White
SCB25002035 - Adhesive Gems - Winter Joy

Thank you for reading up to here!
And just because of that, I have another little treat for you! hehe

I loved creating with the Basik K and A Furry Little Story products so much that I made a card with some of my leftovers.  Additional ScrapBerry's products used for this card are:
SCB25002019-ResinFlowes-FairyTale2
SCB280308-PaperFlowers-DaisyLightYellow

I fussy cut a flower border and created a tag out of the 'Kitten Rules!' paper.

I decided to alter the Light Yellow Daisies a little by removing the middle part and adding a blue gem instead in the center.  These cork stickers from the Basik & K collection are my favorites, and I thought were prefect for a birthday card.

Well, that's it for me this time!  Hope you enjoyed my kitty cat adventures!

Butterfly Adventure
(Creative Scrappers DT - Sketch #304)

It is my turn to showcase a project based on Sketch #304 over on the Creative Scrappers blog!

Here is the March sketch, designed by none other than the fabulous Kristine Davidson.
You can find out more details on this specific challenge right HERE.

Sketch #304 has proven to be a tad bit challenging for some of us designers, but that is all part of the fun of working with sketches!  Every element is versatile and can be altered to fit your design style and product and theme choices.

Instead of using the same square shape and size of different pattern papers, I opted to overlay different sizes, from big to small, diagonally (just as the sketch) across my background.

I opted for a large butterfly cut out of the pretty Bo Bunny 'Sweet Life' papers in place of the stars and decided to use only 2 pictures instead of 3.

I love the combination of bright colours on this layout.  As much as I love elegant and romantic pieces, I also adore creating in a more bold and fun style like this one.

I fussy cut and punched a few smaller butterflies and added even more colour using enamel dots and splatters of paint.

I hope I have inspired you to take part in the challenge and share with us your take on Creative Scrappers' Sketch #304!

10 Years Soulmates
(7 Dots Studio, Lindy's Stamp Gang & Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo Challenges)

I took some me time this weekend and decided to create just for me!  In all my DT requirements and deadlines, it's sometimes hard to be able to scrapbook just for the sheer joy of it.  Whenever I can, I try to play along with amazing challenges that have caught my eye.  Well, this time around, I was able to combine 3, each one as fabulous as the next!  INSPIRATION GALORE!!

A couple months ago, I saw this gorgeous new collection from 7 Dots Studio called Cotton Candy Dream and it was love at first sight.  So I ordered it and hadn't had the chance to play with it until now.  The February 7 Dots Studio challenge was an easy one for me as 'LOVE' just happens to be my favorite scrapbooking theme.  I can never get enough of showcasing the love that Yves and I share! Other 7 Dots Studio products used include several stamps and chipboard.

Next on my list of inspirational challenges is the Lindy's Stamp Gang March Color Challenge. It is my first time playing along as my Lindy's stash collection is still growing.  To be frank, I only own 12 Lindy's sprays so far, but I love them so much that I plan on getting more! I just happened to have 4 that matched this pretty palette: Starbursts Wild Honeysuckle Coral, Starbursts Cape Cod Coral, Flat Fabios Kissin' Kenickie Coral and Flat Fabios T-bird Turquoise. I realize that my layout tends to be more on the orange side, but I did spray on all of my coral hues to try to tone it down a little,
and you can clearly see some bits of beautiful turquoise here and there!

And last, but certainly not least, I decided to have a go at the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo March challenge which was to use NUMBERS on a project.  Because of my love-theme, I opted to add a large 10 to document 10 years of being soulmates.  I also used a number stamp here and there on the background.

I am sure that you will agree that these 3 challenges proved to be the perfect inspiration combo!

Now let's take a closer look at my page:

I used some of the largest alphas in my stash to create the number 10.  I have a little confession to make... it is actually an 'i' and 'o', but who would have ever thought, uh?  They were also originally a bright shade of pink so I painted them brown and added some microbeads on them with dabs of white paint.

I mixed matched different turquoise, teal and peachy orange flowers to create my cluster, sprinkled with more microbeads!

You can see here stamped numbers on my background as well as numbers on a 7 Dots Studio die cut shape.

I was very pleased with the soft round splatters created with my Lindy's sprays.

10 years ago, my soul found its mate... and my happiness knows no bounds!

Thank you for joining me today!

Me & You
(ScrapBerry's DT Reveal)

Hello!  It's time for my first monthly DT reveal for ScrapBerry's!

If you've missed the DT reveal inspired by the ScrapBerry's March 'Spring' challenge, click HERE! The DT has been split into 2 teams for the challenge reveals and I, being in Team B, will showcase a project for the challenge in April.

Today, however, I have this very folksy layout to share with you using the beautiful Primavera collection.

I absolutely adore the combination of colours in these papers and I had so much fun sorting through my ScrapBerry's stash to match them as well as the ecclectic style.  I fussy cut a dream catcher, feathers and butterflies from the Cards papers and picked some pretty flair as well as chipboard and metal feathers that were just perfect.

I just may be developing an addiction to microbeads, can you tell?!

I absolutely adore book print anything so I fell in love with the book print flair seen below at first sight.  I only wish I had more!!  The pretty feather flair is also from ScrapBerry's. Another ScrapBerry's product which I found went very well with this page was this pretty Polymer feather.

A very bright and happy page for a very happy couple in love!

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I hope I have inspired you in some way!

Adorable Minou
(Scraps of Elegance DT - 'Watercolor Wishes' Kit)

I am so in love with the papers in the 'Watercolor Wishes' kit from Scraps of Elegance!  It was my first time creating with 49 and Market products and I have to say that I was very pleased.

Looking through my stash for pictures that matched the soft pretty colors in the papers, I found this picture of my darling furbaby and it was so perfect, I couldn't pass it up.  The photo was taken 5 years ago when Sugar was 2 years old and we had just adopted her.  She loved laying down on our keyboard in Yves' office.

I wanted to use many pattern papers to show how beautifully coordinated they are so I layered a combination of torn and punched borders over the dotted base.

I fussy cut some flowers and used a couple of the pretty doilies from the kit.

I picked apart a couple of the larger flowers to make more - that's one of the many ways to make the most of any kit!

Such a sweetie!

Just Like A Fairytale
(Scraps of Elegance DT - 'Watercolor Wishes' Kit
& Berry71bleu March Challenge)

I am back today with one more creation using the Scraps of Elegance 'Watercolor Wishes' kit!

My layout was inspired by this splendid mood board for the Berry71bleu March challenge:

To me, the mood board images not only represent Spring and vintage beauty,
but also a slight hint of old castles and magic and fairytales.

This why I chose to scrapbook a photo I took years ago of the Chateau Frontenac based in the Canadian province of Quebec.  It is a very famous tourist attraction and is elegant and gorgeous, even if amid the busy city streets.  I chose the title 'Just Like a Fairytale' because that is what I remember thinking when I saw it!

This classic woodgrain paper from the 49 and Market 'Heirloom Botannicals' collection found in the Scraps of Elegance kit seemed perfect as the base of my layout.  I went with a little paler yellows than on the mood board as I wanted to keep my page soft and romantic.

I added some brick design stenciling and misted the background with yellow, teal and rusty brown.

Below you can see lots of the gorgeous flowers from the main kit and floral add-on.  I misted a few in teal and added a tiny Florence Flask from the Elements add-on that I filled with microbeads and decorated this flower arrangement with some Prima Metal Patina Trinket Birds, also included in the Elements add-on.

I think you will be able to agree that this place looks magical.

Thank you Berry71bleu for the inspiration and Scraps of Elegance for the kit!!
