MY LITTLE STAR CARD SET - Trio of 7" x 7" Cards (ScrapBerry's DT)

I am back today with another DT share for none other than ScrapBerry's!

This time I've created a super sweet card set all for babies

using the adorable My Little Star collection.

I created 3 cards, all 7" square, each with a different colour scheme.

Card 1 - 'Cute Baby'

 For my first card, in teal and pinkish red, I created an embossed polkadot base.

I chose some little resin daisies and a cute heart flair from 

the Forest Friends collection that matched the colors perfectly.

Card 2 - 'Pink Baby Bunny'

This one is all pretty in pink and beige with a touch of teal.

The bunny characters in this collection are so darn cute!

I decorated it with a few flowers, a button and a couple Kid's Toy polymer items.

Card 3 - 'Sweet Baby Sailor'

Well, I sure don't want to adhere to stereotypes, but obviously

this card would be perfect for any baby boy with its blue sailor theme.

I kept it fairly simple to put emphasis again on the fabulous paper images.

I found one beautiful plaid blue crystal sticker button 

in my ScrapBerry's stash that went along with it all perfectly.

And there you go!  3 pretty cards for 3 precious babies!

TO MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER - 7" x 7" Card (ScrapBerry's DT - May/June Blog Challenge)

It is my turn to share my DT project created for the 

ScrapBerry's May/June blog challenge!

I decided to create a card using The Art of Nature collection.

It includes a pretty little card that is addressed to a 'daughter' 

so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.

The papers, soft and sweet - also perfect for Spring and Summer projects,

are mostly from the 6x6 paper set along with 2 cards from the 12x12 collection.

This polymer bird is from the Fairy Tale line.

I love how it complements the bird image on the paper.

LIFE'S A BEACH - Single Page Layout (ScrapBerry's DT & Dusty Attic May Challenge)

I created this beach-theme layout for my 2nd May DT reveal for ScrapBerry's.
It was inspired by the current challenge on the Dusty Attic blog.

This is the Dusty Attic May challenge mood board and sketch:

I found the perfect patterned papers for this mood board in 2 ScrapBerry's collections 

from my stash: Antique Shop and Holiday Romance.  I also used a few images 

from the Cards papers from Mediterranean Dreams. I love how the Holiday Romance 

'Nostalgia' patterned paper with its blue sky and seagulls match the sky in my photo.

You can also see below that I incorporated some Chicken Wire Panel

and a beautiful Flourish piece from DA.  The Flourish was covered with

Imagine Ink white embossing powder and dabbed with a little blue paint.

I added some ScrapBerry's sea-themed metal charms from different sets

as well as beautiful Polymer items from the Sea 3 set. 

 Lots of pretty seashells!

Don't you just love this rustic wood background paper from

 the Antique Shop collection?  It's called very fittingly 'Ocean Depths'.

I am so lucky to live close to the ocean and be able to

take these beautiful scenic shots of the sea.

I hope that I've inspired you to create your own beach-theme project.

Happy Bookworm (ScrapBerry's DT & Scrapki-wyzwaniowo May Challenge)

For my 1st ScrapBerry's DT reveal this month, I have created a layout 

with my absolutely favorite ScrapBerry's paper collection, 'Words Live Forever'.  

Take a look at these gorgeous papers:

 Just the name of this line in itself is so endearing to me as I've always loved 

writing and reading, so of course WORDS... enough that I pursued 

my post-secondary education with a major in English and a minor in French, 

specializing in classical literature. So needless to say, I've read my fair share of books!

When I saw the May challenge on the Scrapki-wyzwaniowo blog,

it was just the perfect inspiration that I needed to kickstart my project.

The challenge is to be inspired by books and the pages inside them.

I couldn't have asked for a better combination!

And now let's take a look at some close-ups of my layout.

I chose beautiful background paper lined with books with some fabulous 

book print paper peaking from underneath.  The book print flag, arrow

and heart are handmade embellishments from Charms Creations.

I thought that it would be cool to incorporate 6 of my all time favorite books

on my page somehow so I googled the covers and printed them on photo paper.  

For all you book lovers out there, I strongly suggest any of these!

Of course, I incorporated several ScrapBerry's embellishments on my page,

including lots of classic images from the Postcards For Pennies 

and Memos papers.  I also used brads from the Once Upon A Winter 

collection (yes Winter!!) and pretty paper and resin flowers.

And finally, look at this gorgeous image (free desktop wallpaper)

that I found on Google and absolutely knew I had to use!

And there you go!  A very 'WORDY' page paying homage to my love of books.

Grin Full of Mischief (ScrapBerry's DT & Berry71bleu April Challenge)

I decided to veer away from my usual shabby and romantic style to go grunge 

and create a very boyish page using one of my very favorite 

paper collections from ScrapBerry's called Edge of Town!

Not only are these papers absolutely gorgeous, they also seemed perfect for 

the April mood board on the Berry71bleu challenge blog.  The mood board

 inspired my use of the rusty, woodgrain, brick patterns and the metal accents.

I covered my chipboard and wood icons with black sand embossing 

powder to give them an old metallic effect to match the papers.

Below you can see a few ScrapBerry's embellishments that I found in my stash 

that fit in well with my page: a vintage unicycle metal trinket from 

the Vintage Circus set as well as epoxy dark orange epoxy stickers 

from the Around the World collection.  It goes to show how versatile 

ScrapBerry's embellishments are that you can mix and match 

products from different lines for a single page.

And the star of my page is baby Tristan, my friend's son, from a few years back!

I am thrilled on how my layout turned out, and that is thanks

Create Your Happiness (ScrapBerry's DT Reveal)

Spring is finally here (for us in the Northern hemisphere at least) 

and so I'm thinking flowers, pastels and happiness this month!

My ScrapBerry's DT reveal today has all 3!

I started off with some beautiful papers from the Cherished Jewels collection.  

The colour combination of lilac, pink, light teal and yellow is a perfect palette 

for Spring. As the ScrapBerry's flair states, it is a pure 'delight'.

I of course added lots of gorgeous flowers, all from ScrapBerry's.

Seeing that the collection is named 'Cherished Jewels', I thought it would 

be nice to decorate my page with adhesive pearls.

I dabbed on some white paint to lighten up most of my embellishments 

and I sprinkled some pink and purple microbeads around my flower clusters.  

As the title says, you have to 'create your happiness' and microbeads 

sure make this scrappy girl happy!

I hope that I've been able to spread a little Springtime happiness

and inspiration your way today with this layout of mine!

Adore Spring (ScrapBerry's DT - March/April Challenge)

The March/April challenge on the ScrapBerry's blog and website is well under way, 

and it is all about SPRING!

While looking through my ScrapBerry's paper stash, I found that 

the In Bloom collection was very fitting for this challenge.

I matched the papers with many pink flowers, lovely garden-themed 

polymer embellishments and beautiful flair pieces!

Oh, so sweet!!  Spring makes everyone happy, especially my precious niece Ella!
