FOR YOU Card
(More Than Words DT - June Mini Challenge)

It's Mini Challenge time over on the More Than Words blog,
and this is my card created especially for it, using the June mini word!

Take a look at the June Mini Challenge board:

Click HERE to find out all you need to know about the Mini Challenge
and to see gorgeous inspiration from the More Than Words DT.
Remember that in order to participate, you have to share your project
on the More Than Words FB page right HERE by the end of the month.

I decided to use the word WORLD in a simple quote for someone special.

I kept the base of my card quite simple by using natural kraft corrugated cardboard.

I decorated it with wood shapes, flowers, gems and pearls
and sprinkled it all with shiny blue glittery stones.

This card was fairly quick to make, but it still turned out beautiful and classy.

Will you play along with us at More Than Words?!

I am looking forward to see your Mini creations using this word!

TIMELESS BEAUTY Layout
(Dusty Attic DT - June Mood Board)

It is time to share with you my take on the elegant Dusty Attic June mood board.

The June mood board holds so many stunning images
with a vintage touch and classic feminine feel.
The board immediately made me think of the most important
woman in my life... my mom.

For my title, I chose Timeless Beauty, using a Mini Tag and a Mini Word,
one covered with a pale peach embossing powder and the other in gray tones.

It's easy to see when looking at my page that I was inspired by the many 'couture' themed images in the board, including the gorgeous lace designs. That is why I used several chipboard pieces of the same theme. Below you can see one of the Mini Wire Dress Forms.

I added 2 of the Lacey Trims and pieces of the Lace Border #1,
both of which I simply covered with white embossing powder.

I also included a strip of Small Crazy Stitchings.

I incorporated some real lace on the back layer of my background, as you can see here. Behind the photo of my mom (so lovely, if I may add), I slipped a Doily #3 along with lots of fussy cut paper flowers and butterflies from a vintage Lemoncraft collection... just perfect for my mom!

Here is a closer look at the Dusty Attic chipboard found on my layout:

HUSHED Layout
(Sketchabilities DT - June Sketch #150
+ Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo June Challenge)

Oh, how exciting to share with you finally
my first DT reveal for the one and only Sketchabilities!

This is the fabulous Sketch #150 from Sketchabilities:

From its very beginning years ago, I have always been in love with Karan Gerber's
lovely sketches and I am now thrilled to be a part of the Sketchabilities DT
and able to inspire you to play along with this wonderful challenge.
Click HERE for all the details on how to join in on the sketchy fun!

Since I love getting inspired by challenges, I decided to combine my project with the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo challenge for June which I found to 'bee' very inspiring!

It's very easy to see how I have incorporated the bee theme on my layout.
It's buzzing all around!

I started off with some Prima Marketing paper on which I added some fine polkadot texture
using a stencil and modeling paste as well as sprayed some yellow and white mist.

The beautiful chipboard bees are from Dusty Attic.

I went in search of yellow flowers in my flower stash and came up with these lovely blooms including this pretty badge from Cuts2luv.

As you can see, I used 2 small photos like on the sketch design.

Like most people, I'm a bit afraid of these tiny creatures.
But I must say that they do awake in me much awe and wonder.
As the quote on my layout says... 'Inspiration is everywhere!'

Thank you for visiting today!

WHIMSICAL CARDS SET
(Dusty Attic DT)

For my first DT reveal for Dusty Attic this month,
I have produced a trio of cards which I call my 'whimsical' set!

My first card in the series features one of the new Fancy Frames
and the Winged Dress Form which inspired the term 'whimsical' for this collection.

On all my 3 cards, I used the same colour scheme of different shades
of purple and aqua combined with kraft, white and black.

I have also added some mixed media texture and design with molding paste and
a Dusty Attic stencil. On this one, I chose the Damask #2 design.

I thought this sentiment from the Mini Captions #7 set
would be perfect for this card which can be great for any occasion
celebrating a very special person. I added a cute Decorative Dot with a heart.

I couldn't create a whimsical card set without using a butterfly
on one of them, so I opted to go big with this large piece
from the Monarch Butterflies set for card #2.

This card is perfect for a friend as it contains a nice 'friendship' quote
from the Quoted Sentiments #1 in black.

I posed the butterfly, covered in different hues of purple embossing powder,
on top of an Elegant Flourish just simply colored with black marker.

On the aqua paper layer, I used the beautiful Rose stencil.

For card #3, I decided to go with a kraft base, but once again,
decorated with purple and aqua and added some white and black accents.

This card's focal point is this gorgeous Carousel Horse.
I wanted to make sure that all its fancy designs showed so I just
simply used pale lilac embossing powder on it.

Like on my other 2 cards, I used a purple tag, this time a large one,
and lots of aqua and purple paper flowers.

For the sentiment, I used this piece from the Wordplay #1 set,
combined with a printed quote. You can see layered behind the horse
the lovely Leafy Flourish #2 in black.

How do you like my cards?  I hope I have inspired you to take out your Dusty Attic
chipboard and create some of your own today!  And if you do, please make
sure to share them with us on the Dusty FANattics Facebook Page.

TURKISH DELIGHT Layout
(More Than Words DT - June Main Challenge)

June already!?  Time goes by so fast, but I am so happy
to finally see the arrival of Summer in Canada.
Winter always overstays her welcome all through Spring, it seems.

And with the start of a new month, well, of course,
comes a brand new Main Challenge at More Than Words!

Take a look at the fabulous MTW June Main Challenge:
Word Inspiration - JOURNEY
Creative Challenge - MAP

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

I have to confess... I am not much of a traveler! I am fairly content in staying all comfy and cozy in my home in my little part of the world. So, instead, I live vicariously through my best friend who is a true globetrotter, having visited so many fabulous places across the world. She took this photo while in Turkey a couple years ago. What a wonderful JOURNEY it must have been, and I was more than content and happy to document it for her on this page from the comfort of my scraproom!

My interpretation of the creative challenge is quite easy to see... my whole background if a MAP.

All the chipboard used on my page is from Dusty Attic.
I especially like the play on word that I created with the title - hehe.

Along with the map background, I added many other travel elements to my page, including some world map die-cuts and some journey-inspired sentiment stickers and chippies.

I wanted to use this gorgeous Industrial Balloon to go along with the wonderful photo.

And there you go... my 'Turkish Delight', courtesy of my friend Christine!

Thank you for stopping by!  Now please go and visit the More Than Words blog
to see lots more fabulous inspiration from my fellow DT!
