CRAZY SILLY FUN
- single page layout -
(Dusty Attic DT - April Mood Board)

Hello people! I have a very bright and fun layout for you today!

My layout was inspired by the similarly bright April mood board from The Dusty Attic.

With this sunny colour palette as well as the beautiful image in mind,
I found a photo of my nieces taken during their visit to Florida in 2005
which I found matched the theme and colours quite well.

I created the title Crazy Silly Fun using the Word Packs #13 and #16.

I created a geometric tile design on my page by tucking 3 of
the Elegant Frames behind the photo. I colored them with 2 different
shades of purple markers and then sprayed on a little white mist.

I used the same markers on the Page Pebbles and the title as well.

I used white embossing powder on the Machine Parts
to make them pop against the colorful background and paper layering.

Finally, here is a close up of my 2 favorite girls being adorable and... silly!

Here are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used on my page.

LA VIE EN ROSE
- canvas -
(Dusty Attic DT)

It's April and for this Canadian girl, that means Spring
and flower blooms and butterflies... the beautiful life,
and as they say in French, 'LA VIE EN ROSE!'

So I was inspired to create this very rosy canvas
using some of the most pretty chipboard from The Dusty Attic.

The Dusty Attic has the perfect title for this canvas. I covered it in snow white embossing powder.

I complemented the title with these two french sentiments from the French Wordplay set.
They translate to 'Life is Beautiful' and 'Happiness is here and were so fitting to my concept.

I had been holding on to these chipboard roses (Rose Cluster, Rose in Bloom and Rose Stem) for a while, letting the creative ideas bloom in my head.

Finally, I decided that they would be very pretty on a burlap canvas on which I added a simple subtle design on the background using the Chicken Wire stencil and mother of pearl paste.

The roses were first covered with embossing powders, different shades of pink for the petals and green for the leaves. I dabbed on some white paint and and then used distress ink.

I decided to keep the Chicken Wire Designer Discs bare, except for a few dabs of white paint, which I thought went well with the canvas background.

My canvas turned out very soft and feminine which is definitely what I was aiming for.
I hope you like it as much as I loved creating it.

PRECIOUS BABY GIRL
- single page layout -
(More Than Words DT - April Main Challenge)

It's April, the first official month of Spring, Easter and everything pretty!

I'm sharing with you today a very soft page inspired by this month's
More Than Words main challenge that I'm sure you will love!

Here is the April challenge board from More Than Words.

Word Inspiration - BABY
Creative Challenge - PASTELS

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

The word BABY brings back to mind my nieces when they were babies, so tiny and precious. This was Daphne who I can't believe is now 12 years old! They grow up so fast so I am grateful to have pictures like this one to help me reminisce.

I had fun creating this layout in pretty PASTELS. Purple, blue, green and pink... I used them all to match my niece's adorable dress.

I wanted to go old school a bit with this page as I wanted it to
remain simple and sweet to keep focus on the baby photo.

I had this rub-on quote from Kaisercraft in my stash.
I combined it with a Peek a Boo sticker in just the right shade of pale blue.

I inserted some pretty chipboard and wooden flowers in my layers
and decorated with a few brads and buttons.

They don't come any sweeter than this one!

Thank you for dropping by!  Happy April!
