Petite Fleur
(Words & Paintery April challenge)

Don't forget to enter my April Blog Giveaway. Learn more HERE!

I went to a crop last week at my LSS and had such fun crafting with friends.
There's nothing like creative time mixed in with great laughs and some delicious sweet treats!
This time, it was peanut butter fudge and rice krispie squares! hehe

So, among other stash, I had brought a kit that I put together the night before
to play along with the latest challenge at Words & Paintery.

I love this Spring-inspired palette and the theme.  Being a very shabby-chic scrapper,
it just came natural to create a layout with lots of flowers and pastel colours.

Words & Paintery also provided additional inspiration with this sketch

I created a layout of adorable Jade taking a Summer stroll through
a field of wild flowers and picking the best ones to make a bouquet.

The title 'Petite Fleur' is French for little flower!

The patterned papers used are from the Bo Bunny Sweet Life collection,
on which I added some mixed media touches with a hexagon stencil and molding paste
then covered with yellow, pink and peach shades of paint and mists.

I substituted the 3 rectangular photos on the sketch by 2 round photos and a pattern circle framed with lovely 2Crafty Chipboard: 2 circles from the Circle Stack and the Ingrid's Frame.

And of course, this layout wouldn't have been complete without lots of flowers,
mostly from Prima insluding the pretty Mulberry Tissue Flower with the yellow knit center,
and some fancy black and white butterfly stickers from my local Dollarstore.
Of course, as I usually do, I dabbed on some white paint over all of the elements
to soften the overall look of my page and give it a whitewash effect.

This little girl is so photogenic.. sweet and beautiful as a flower.
I am lucky to have friends who let me scrapbook pictures of their beautiful children!

I hope you like my layout.
Let me know in the comments!
