The mid-month challenge at Scrap Our Stash went live on July 15th and
it's now my turn to reveal my take on this pretty sketch challenge.
This Sketch with Stash challenge is to create a layout using the sketch
as inspiration and use ribbon/trim on your layout.
Link up your layout HERE before July29th for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Paper Issues.
I was given this picture of my aunt Marie and her 2 sisters a while back by my mom. She asked me to create a special layout as a surprise gift for my aunt and I finally got around to doing it. I found that the SOS sketch with the small sized picture was the perfect design for it. And as for my stash, I added a piece of fancy lace trim on the left side of the layout. I'm very grateful for the inspiration and love the final result. I'm sure that my aunt will love it too.
You probably have noticed that I used lots of beautiful chipboard on my layout
and yes, you guessed right... it's from none other than 2Crafty,
starting with the Loopy Font Forever title
which I painted with black silk glaze and then dabbed with white and light pink paint.
After painting it with white gesso, misting it in pink and dabbing it with more white,
I cut up the Floral Branch and tucked the pieces behind my different flower clusters.
Three hearts for three sisters...
the Frame Love Hearts was the perfect focal point for my layout!
I also painted a Journaling Frame in black and cut it in two,
slipping each piece on either side of the picture.
I then added some stenciling with molding paste
and dabbed with pink and white paint.
Hope I've inspired you to create today!
This is stunning! I love the heart frame and girly colors! Love this!
