Always Create (OUAS Nov 1st Challenge)

Today, i am sharing with you a very special layout i made for the November 1st Challenge on the Once Upon A ...Sketch blog.  The journalling criteria required me to add at least 2 SENTENCES on WHEN i started scrapping and WHY?

This is the sketch that they provided as inspiration:
The journalling reads:
"I have always been a very artistic person, either it be drawing, writing poetry or crafting.  In 2004, when i lost my father to brain cancer, i wanted to pay homage to his life in some way and the idea of a scrapbook came from a friend.  Not only was scrapbooking the perfect way to ease my grief, but it quickly became a new way for me to express my creativity."

And i could have added that scrapbooking was probably one of the best things to come into my life at that time when i was trying to deal with the loss of my Dad... Ever since, i have enjoyed every single aspect of this craft and i feel at my best when i create.
To create this layout, i used a mixture of products, including Creative Imaginations papers, Imaginarium Designs chipboard (flourishes), Dusty Attic chipboard (fancy window frame and 'always' title), Maya Road chipboard ('create' title), Prima and KaiserCraft flowers, as well as some eyelets, twine and thread.
To give them their shiny almost metallic look, the ID chipboard title 'always' and the flourishes were covered with 2 shades of Liquid Pearls "Gold Pearl" and "White Opal".  On the title 'create' and the rest of the chipboard pieces, i sprayed some Glimmer Mist "Coffee Shop".  Each letter was embossed with the Cuttlebug using a flowery border.  Then, i rubbed some "White Opal" on each and resprayed with Glimmer Mist.  I wasn't too sure how it would all turn out but i like the outcome :)

Hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as i enjoyed creating it :)
