A LIFETIME TO LOVE YOU - single page layout - (Dusty Attic DT - May Mood Board + My Creative Scrapbook May Sketch)

Hello all! I hope that the month of May is treating you well so far!

I would like to share with you today my page inspired
by the beautiful May mood board from The Dusty Attic.

Here is the May mood board with its lovely colour palette!

Along with this mood board, I was also inspired by the

May sketch challenge from My Creative Scrapbook.

These soft and feminine colours and the elegant sketch put me in a romantic mood

so I chose to create a page with a love theme and photos of me and my partner.

I picked a title that fit my sentiment beautifully, and I colored it

with lilac embossing powder and added white paint and a bit

darker purple distress stain to create a dual coloured effect. 

On the Mystic Frame #2 behind my photos, I used blue embossing

powder sporadically leaving some bare parts which I then dabbed in white

paint and then used different blue and purple distress stains for a marble look.

I treated the Door Handle Plate (above) as well as the Hour Glass and Word Play #4 (below) 

with white paint and just a tad bit of distress stains to keep them soft and subtle.

I absolutely love adding butterflies to my pages! Who doesn't!?

And of all the gorgeous chipboard butterflies that Dusty Attic has

designed over the years, the Flutterbies #3 set is my favorite.

Here is one last look at my page and the arrangement of chippies, flowers 

and other decorative elements that I used to frame my mini photos.

LOVE ETERNALLY - single page layout - (Dusty Attic DT)

I have a brand new The Dusty Attic-filled layout to share with you today!

For this page, you can see that I was in a romantic shabby chic mood,

from the Scrapberry's patterned paper background to the elegant

chipboard pieces that I chose to accentuate the love theme.

The title Love Eternally, both words taken from separate packs, 

seemed very fitting. I also added a quote from the Quoted Sentiments #1 set.

I kept everything soft and pretty, treating my chipboard pieces

with embossing powders in white, pink and brown.

Above, amid the flower cluster, you can see the pretty Hibiscus blooms,

and below, a few pieces from the Ornate Pendants collections.

I thought the Ornate Pendants #3 would look particularly pretty

to go along with the cute little birdies on my photo and the Mini Sparrows.

I decided to tuck a Designer Disc #5 Script behind my picture

on which I perched one of the Mini Sparrows.  All the Designer Discs

are an absolute must have from the Dusty Attic line!

I hope that my page gave you that 'lovin' feeling'!

Oh yes! The beautiful month of May is here!
And that means a brand new Main Challenge at More Than Words!

Creative Challenge - MULTIPLE PHOTO

I am usually very content to spend WEEKENDS at home with my boyfriend doing absolutely nothing and being completely antisocial. However, I always enjoy spending some time visiting with our nieces. These photos were taken during a trip to the zoo where we had such a great time. MULTIPLE PHOTOS for multiple fun!

I wanted to create a fun layout with bright bold colours

to document this fun moment spent with the girls.

I combined some filmstrip and photo viewer chipboard to go along with the creative theme.

I added a couple cute cameras and some buttons.

The focal point of my page is this fabulous selfie we took together!
