Camping Birthday Party
(with BoBunny "Take a Hike" collection)

As you many already know, I recently applied to the latest BoBunny DT call, but wasn't fortunate enough to make the final cut.

So today, I am sharing with you a blog post about my 2nd project created as part of my Round 2 submissions... a fun party decor setup featuring the "Take a Hike" collection.

Since Summer has just begun and every kid dreams of camping, I thought it would be awesome to plan a camping theme birthday party!  As you can see, there is a table full of fun elements, but let's start by taking a closer look at the invitation and the banner!

Each flag in the banner features many of the "Take a Hike" pattered papers and embellishments.  I even added some Copper Foil Transfers and some handmade stitching on each.

I used the Nested Terrific Tag Dies set to create the tag below which I covered with Crackle Paste Primer and Black Crackle Paste.  My big chipboard letters were covered with copper paint mixed in with some Chocolate Pearlescents.

I decorated a little blackboard easel as a welcoming sign for guests.

A birthday party just wouldn't be a party without cupcakes... well, in this case... campcakes!

I topped each delicious chocolate campcake with a little flag created out of paper and some Noteworthy shapes which I adhered to little plastic cocktail picks.

Probably my favorite part of this decor is my "bear poop" corner.  Any kid would certainly love this!!

Of course, the bear poop is really chocolate covered almonds.  I decorated the dish with this fun bear chipboard piece along with paw prints from the Take a hike chipboard set.

Of course, any camping themed party has to involve cooking S'Mores over a fire so I made these S'Mores kits including all the fixings needed to make this delicious camping favorite.

And to go along with S'Mores are water bottles each wrapped with some pattern paper.

And finally, here are some decorated mason jars holding drink sticks (aka straws!) and glow sticks, for extra added fun around the campfire!

This whole camp birthday party is sure to make any kid happy this Summer, thanks to BoBunny and the "Take a Hike" collection!

Hope you enjoyed!

  4. Oh my god! I am literally out of words! It is simply magical! I have always liked this color theme and I never thought a party could be arranged like this. I want this for my birthday this year. Thanks a ton for sharing this lovely post. I have to finalize an event space Chicago and then I am going to decorate it this way.
