Oh what fun I had making this bright and cheerful layout
of my niece Ella, looking so pretty in her new braces!
I wanted to do a girly page with no flowers.
That was a huge challenge for me who can never use enough flowers on any project!
I combined many chipboard pieces to create the title starting
with 'smile' from the "Word Circles Set 1" which I covered in pink paint,
then sprinkled in pink glitter to then add a few dabs of white and light yellow.
I then used the "Everyday Font L/C" to spell out 'bright',
but using one of the "Light Bulbs"in place of the letter I.
As fun and funky embellishments to my page, I added some "Crazy Arrows"
which I painted in different shades of yellow, topped with dabs of white.
I placed the arrows so that they all point to Ella's fabulous grin!
I painted a "Small Film Strip" with black silk glaze and cut it in 3 to slip each piece behind my picture and in the right corner cluster. A few stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" were perfect to go along with the film strip. Ella is indeed the star of this layout!
You can also see below a few of the "Geotags" that I also used as adornment.
And the last piece of 2Crafty chipboard to show you on this page
is the "Bubble Reed Panel" of which I cut 2 pieces, covered them with pink paint and glitter
and then slipped vertically at the bottom and top of my picture.
That beautiful smile is literally worth thousands! :)
Let's start with showing off the title that I chose, "Friends Know".
I first coated it with white paint, then added some Shimmerz with a few dabs of Distress Stains.
Then of course, I used my signature white washing with dags of white paint on top.
On the top left corner cluster, I added this beautiful key
that comes from the "Vintage Keys" set,
a must-have for any shabby chic romantic scrapbooker.
The key was treated the same as the title.
I slipped the smallest of the "6" Clock Face Frames"
and a piece of "Sammi's Swirls" tucked behind the flowers.
... and here you see the rest of the "Sammi's Swirls".
I covered it with white opaque stainglass paint,
topped with light dabs of stains.
My favorite chipboard piece on this layout is the "Frame Celia's Flourish"
that you see below, lined vertically along the edge of my photos.
One last close-up shot showing my best friend Christine and I,
and a little piece of the small "Clock Face Frame" with a keyhole from "Keyholes and Locks" set.
