Inseperable (2Crafty DT Reveal Part 1)

For my 2Crafty DT reveal this month, I've decided to share double-page layouts.

When I started scrapbooking back in 2004, I didn't know why someone would even want to create single-pages.  I found that the double spread looked so much nicer in an album.

Well, I have to admit that 10 years later, I have jumped on the single-page bandwagon! hehe  I love creating single pages and often only use 1 photo on my layouts now.  The fact that I have given up putting my pages in albums is probably a big part of it - I have way too many piles of stacked up layouts in my scrap space right now and it would cost me a fortune to buy albums to accommodate them all.

However, all that being said, I still love double-pages!  I love the challenge of blending one side into the other and creating a double page is just double the fun!  Plus, the friends for whom I create a lot of pages still put them in albums and they love the 2-page look.

So let's take a look at all the gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard I used on this double-page.

I admit, I am a girly girl at heart, so I love adding flowers  and butterflies
and glitter to most of my layouts.  And I'm lucky to have some special little girls
in my life who also love all those things, like Celeste and Jade, my friends' daughters.

Being sisters, Celeste and Jade are always having fun together
so the 2Crafty Inseperable Title was the perfect title for this spread.

Using and cutting up the Corner Spring Flowers in different pieces,
I added them around my pictures.  They were covered with Liquitex Glass Beads,
then painted with Silks and then dabbed with white paint.

The Glass Beads were really fun to play with.  I love the added texture they give the chipboard.

Below you can see Ava's Butterflies which are so finely cut and just the right amount of whimsical for this shabby chic layout.  I also cut up the Thistle Shrub and tucked the pieces behind my flower clusters.

Come back tomorrow to see more inspiration x2!
