I can't wait to share with you this layout that i've created last weekend! It is one of my favorites by far this year. I love the color combination and the special picture of me and Yves. :)
But first of all, let's start with the inspiration!
Scrap It with a Song this week is all about love and family. Make sure to go visit and get creative with any of this month's playlist - you could win a cool prize!
Madonna's Keep It Together is this week's song, and i decided to base the overall theme of my layout on the word 'Together'. As the hidden journaling on this layout states, Yves and I have been together for 6 years now, and i have to say that every day that i spend with him is just perfect. We have such a deep connection and every moment spent together, whether we are veggin' out on the couch watching a movie or taking a stroll in the beautiful Autumn leaves, is pure magic. His presence in my life is a true blessing.
My layout was also inspired by the exquisite color palette from this month's
Prima Product Pick challenge. I loved the warm rich hues, perfect for November, and i think i succeeded in transferring that warmth on my layout.
And last but certainly not least, i used this fabulous sketch by Nadia Cannizzo from
Once Upon A ...Sketch as inspiration:
Now, here is what all that inspiration helped me create:
I have to say that my camera and the poor lighting in my craftroom do not do the colors of this layout justice. For example, the Prima paper i used as the background is from the
Alla Prima collection and is of a much warmer shade of yellow than what you can see on my photo.
As always, the OUAS challenge requires us to use journaling on our layout. See the 'Remember This' tag on the right of the picture? My journaling is hiding on that tag.
You can see from some of the close-up shots that i added clear crackle paint on my background.
Don't you just LOVE that robin's nest?! Sooo adorable!
Flowers, flowers and more flowers! What Prima does best!
I really hope that you have enjoyed looking at this layout and that it has inspired you to create!
