Just a very quick post to let you know that we are finally moved into our new home! It's been a very hectic week, and i suspect that it will take a few more weeks before we get all settled. My scraproom is still in boxes and we're missing a few pieces of furniture (all to be delivered shortly)! Hopefully by mid-August, i'll be able to get back to seriously scrappin' :) I cannot wait to start participating in challenges again and to have time enough to fully browse all my favorite blogs and see what you have been creating.
Speaking of challenges, do not forget to come join the fun TIC TAC TOE challenge at The Paper Variety this week. You could win a $20 gift certicate from Freehand Scraps!!!

The Paper Variety Challenge #44
If challenges are your thing, then you just HAVE to participate in this week's challenge at The Paper Variety. It's a game of tic tac toe! You choose 3 elements in a row and incorporate them in your layout, card or off-the-page project!
This week's sponsor is Freehand Scraps and they have a fabulous prize up for grabs. Check out TPV blog for more info! At the same time, get inspiration from my very talented fellow DT members.
Be sure to link up your project before the evening of Sunday July 31st for a chance to be featured, and before midnight on Tuesday August 2nd for a chance at the prize!
See you there! :)

The Paper Variety Challenge #43
Another week, that means another fun challenge at The Paper Variety!
You can have your pick... or you can even incorporate the two in your project.
Be sure to submit it by the evening of Sunday July 24th for a chance to be spotlighted on TPV blog and by Tuesday July 26th at noon EST to be in the drawing for an amazing prize sponsored by
I wish I could participate myself and be eligible to win since I am a long time fan of Paisleys and Polka Dots (even long before i had this blog!). Among other things, they offer amazing kits for double-page layouts (and mini albums as the prize seen above) and have often been great inspiration to me!
The first thing that came to mind when i read 'grid pattern' is plaid, and that made me think of a weave design that i had already seen on a layout at my LSS store. Inspired by that layout, I wove strips of paper to make the background of this double-page, and then a few flowers, brads, buttons and chipboard pieces later, VOILA!
In case you're wondering, i'm the one on the right with the cool cowboy boots and the Strawberry Shortcake dress! hehehe
Here are close-ups of the weave grid...
And close-ups of the other elements (Dusty Attic chipboard, misc. ribbon, flowers, brads and buttons)...
Now make sure to check The Paper Variety blog to see inspiring projects from my fellow DT members. They all have made incredible work!

The Big Move
Yes! It is coming by quickly and i'm getting a bit nervous about it!
For those of you who don't know, Yves and i have bought a house 2 months ago and the closing date is July 26th! We are now in the process of packing all our stuff (living in boxes is NOT easy! hehehe) and getting ourselves ready for the big move on July 27th.
As you can probably guess, that is the reason why i haven't been very creative lately and have neglected my blog a little bit. For the next month or so, the only projects i will most likely post are my creations for The Paper Variety blog as i take my DT spot very seriously. I am still so excited to finally be on a Design Team, and one of the best too! I'm really having a hard time staying away from all the other blog challenges out there though - i am definitely missing out an a lot of great inspiration and amazing prizes!!!
So with all this said, know that i have a very good excuse for my lack of creativity these past weeks and for the month to come. I am hoping that by mid-August, i will have my new scraproom pretty much all set up and i will be able to let lose on the creativity again!

The Paper Variety Challenge #41
I am so excited today to share with you my very first layout done for The Paper Variety's Design Team!
The theme for this week's challenge is...
As you can see, the pictures date back to 2006 meaning that i am a little behind in my Christmas scrapbooking. So, needless to say, i was excited to see this week's challenge!
Be sure to click HERE to see all the other amazing projects from my fellow DT members and i hope to see your project linked up soon!
The theme for this week's challenge is...
So rummage through your old Christmas pictures and get in the spirit (a little ahead of time - hehe)! Normally, TPV only accepts one entry per person per week, but as a gift to you, for this week only, you can enter as many projects as you want! Entries are due by the evening of Sunday July 10th (EST) for a chance to be included in the spotlight and by Tuesday July 12th at noon (EST) to be included for the prize.
And what is the prize, you ask?
This fabulous kit (i wish i could have a chance to win it myself!) sponsored by
My goal as a DT member for The Paper Variety is to make a double-page layout every 2 weeks so as to adhere to all the lovers of double-pages out there who might feel a bit left out sometimes because single pages seem to be a bit more prominent on most of the blogs out there. Ever since i've started scrapbooking, i've made double-pages so they come more naturally for me, and i like the way they look in an album.
Here is my Christmas layout using an older BoBunny collection!
