YOU & ME layout
(Dusty Attic DT - November Mood Board
+ Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo November Challenge)

Hello everyone! Today I share with you with my second monthly project
for The Dusty Attic, this time inspired by their beautiful November mood board!

Here is this beautiful mood board full of pretty plum colours.

In tune with the mood board images and to play along with
I tried to keep my page in a fairly monochromatic colour palette,
working on a beige background and playing with different shades of purples.

I chose this title from the Mini Captions #7 to go along with my photo and theme.
I used a lilac embossing powder on it and dabbed it with some white paint.

Also in the above image, you can see the very dainty Birds on a Branch #3.
I colored it with a sand colored embossing powder. Below, you can see a close up
of my flower cluster amidst which I included some flair and a Page Pebble.

An important focal point on my layout is the background Small Damask Panel.
What a stunning piece which looks gorgeous in a rich Garnet colour.

And because we all love flowers, here's another bloom close-up!

This picture of my boyfriend and I was taken 2 years ago already.
To this day, we have been together 12 years and still going strong and in love!

Now let's see what Dusty Attic chipboard pieces I used on my page.

SHINE AS BRIGHT tag
(More Than Words DT - November Mini Challenge

It's Mini Challenge time over on the More Than Words blog,
and this month I have created a tag, featuring the November mini word!

Here is the November Mini Challenge board:

Click HERE to find out all you need to know about the Mini Challenge
and to see gorgeous inspiration from the More Than Words DT.
Remember that in order to participate, you have to share your project
on the More Than Words FB page right HERE by the end of the month.

For this mini challenge, I wanted to extend on the STARS creative aspect
of the main challenge revealed at the beginning of the month,
so I stenciled in some little stars with velvet paste on the background
and added a big chipboard star as well as a small metal trinket star to my tag.

I put in lots of gold and silver to make it SHINE as the word says
and created a little sentiment using 7 Dots Studio word stickers.

As a final touch, I sprayed some adhesive and then sprinkled lots of microbeads!

Hoping you will PLAY along with us!!

Until next time!

LOVE LIFE Notebook
(Dusty Attic DT)

It's Notebook November on the Dusty Attic blog this month!

Here is the notebook that I created showcasing loads of beautiful Dusty Attic chippies!

My notebook cover base was made out of chipboard on which I used the Words of Wisdom stencil with modeling paste. I then used layers upon layers of different mediums like velvet paste, distress stains, paint mists and Dusty in Colour paints.

My inspiration was the create a notebook for various use.  It can be an art journal, a diary, a poetry book, etc. That is the reason I chose some inspirational titles from the Dusty Attic line.

This Paisley set has to be one of my top 10 Dusty Attic design. It is my second time using it on a project and it absolutely will go on my wish list again so I can use it again!  I covered it with distress stain, then dabbed it with some Dusty Pink and Sugar Plum and then added a little shimmer to it.

I really like how the words of the stencil still show even after multiple layers of paints, mists, etc. After adding each coat of medium, I dabbed the surface with a paper towel to remove any excess and make the white of the molding paste show through. When it came time to add some pink and purple mists, it made the words pop out.

The Boho Feather as well as the Mini Dragonflies were covered with gold velvet paste, glitter paste and shimmer paint. After my notebook complete, I added some adhesive spray and sprinkled some Dress My Craft sequins. I love how it all turned out!

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT layout
(More Than Words DT - November Main Challenge)

I have a bright layout in store for you today,
inspired by the November Main Challenge at More Than Words!

Here is the November challenge board from More Than Words.

Word Inspiration - FUTURE
Creative Challenge - STARS

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

When I first saw this month's word, I had no idea what I would scrap about. But while looking through my photo stash, I found this picture of my nieces taken during a Cheers competition a few years back and thought it would be perfect. When I think of these two fabulous girls, so talented and full of potential, I can't help but know that their FUTURE will be bright.

And of course, since they are bright shiny STARS in my life, it was perfect for the creative challenge as well. As you can see, I added many stars to my layout from stenciled ones to wood, chipboard and cork.

I had this chipboard title in my Dusty Attic stash that I saved up for this challenge on which I used bright blue embossing powder. All the other chipboard (circles, mini tab, scribbled stars and some of the mini stars) are from Dusty Attic as well.

This big star is actually a wooden one. I colored it with Daily Art velvet paste.

I chose this patterned paper as my background because of all the light specks on it. I worked so well with the theme of my page and the tiny gold star stencil, also from Dusty Attic, which I knew I wanted to use.

The stars of my layout, my nieces, shine bright in and of themselves! They truly rock!

I can't wait to see what this challenge will inspire you to create!
