WINTER TIME JOY
(Dusty Attic DT - December Mood Board
+ scrapki-wyzwaniowo December Challenge)

Hello everyone!
It's time for me to share my take on the December mood board challenge from Dusty Attic.

Here is the festive December mood board, perfect for this time of year.
The colours and images of this board inspired me to create
a sparkling Wintery page of a wonderful December stroll in the woods.

I am also playing along with the scrapki-wyzwaniowo December challenge
which offers the word JOY as inspiration, thus where the idea for my title came.

I worked with the word JOY from the patterned paper and a piece from
the Wordplay #9 set and decorated it with some Mini Holly #2 and a large Holly #2.

I also used the Doily #5 set as they appear as beautiful snowflakes to go along with the theme.

I started off by covering them with 2 different shades of embossing powder and then added some Dusty in Colour Capri and a little bit of white shimmer acrylic paint.

A few of the Mini Snowflake Disks in white seemed perfect to adorn my page along with golden accents with pieces of the Diamond Panel and some Mini Stars.

Here is one last look at this page of 'Winter time joy'!

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

MERRY tag
(More Than Words DT - December Mini Challenge
+ Simon Says Wednesday Challenge)

It's Mini Challenge time over on the More Than Words blog,
(YES! We've moved the reveal one week ahead this month!)
and I have created this tag, featuring the December mini word.

Here is the December Mini Challenge board:
Click HERE to find out all you need to know about the Mini Challenge
and to see gorgeous inspiration from the More Than Words DT.
Remember that in order to participate, you have to share your project
on the More Than Words FB page right HERE by the end of the month.

I decided to also play along with the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
which offers a Christmas theme this week! Check it out!

Let's take a closer look at my tag!

I kept it fairly simple by recycling a cut out Santa Claus
from a card received last Christmas which I found super adorable.

I also fussy cut a few poinsettias from patterned paper
and added the chipboard word MERRY
which I covered with black embossing powder.
I finally decorated with a Cuts2luv badge and voila!

Simple and fun tag, perfect for this month's mini word!

Hoping you will play along with us!!

Christmas Cards Set
(Dusty Attic DT)

Hello all! Since this is the month of celebration, I chose to create Christmas cards
as my first DT project for the Dusty Attic blog.

This is the first card in the trio using as main focal point
the gorgeous Merry Christmas Tree.

I used embossing powder on the tree as well as on the poinsettias.

I absolutely love the Poinsettia sets from Dusty Attic, small and large.
I cut out some stars from the Star Banner to embellish around the tree.

My 2nd card includes some more Poinsettia colored with embossing powder
and dabbed with red paint.

I also added some Stars #3 to embellish the card.

This adorable piece is from the Mini Holly #2 set.
I colored it using markers.

And last but not least, I made my third card a bit more bright
on a blue stripe background and some red, green and gold accents.

This Christmas Bauble is very intricate and perfect for a card.

I used it with a Holly #2 which I really adore.

Let's take a closer look at all the Dusty Attic chipboard used on my cards.

BELIEVE layout
(More Than Words DT - December Main Challenge)

Yes! We have reached the final Main Challenge reveal for 2018
on the More Than Words blog! I can hardly BELIEVE it! :P

Here is the December challenge board from More Than Words.

Word Inspiration - BELIEVE
Creative Challenge - STAMPING

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

The December word brought to mind festive thoughts, especially with the upcoming Christmas celebrations! I thought of the night before Christmas tradition of leaving Santa Claus a snack and how awesome it was as a child to BELIEVE in the magic of it all. My father was probably more than happy to take a few bites of those cookies! ha!

For the creative challenge I did some STAMPING on my background with different mixed media designs as well as snowflakes. I created the tree embellishments on the right of my photo using 3 different tree stamps and embossing powders.

I was lucky enough to have the word 'believe' in my Dusty Attic chipboard stash. The design is whimsical and seemed perfect for my Christmas page. I matched it with a Scroll Set piece.

Below you can see more clearly the different stamps that I used on my background.

I fussy cut these beautiful flowers and leaves from patterned paper.

The picture was taken a few years back during Christmas at my brother's house.

This Christmas season I hope that you will all have a little of that childlike wonder and sense of magical belief in your hearts, and may 2019 bring you lots of inspiration!

I also cannot wait to see what you will be inspired to create for this challenge!
