Set of Purple Cards (Scraps of Elegance "Wonderful" kit)

A quick post today to showcase some more projects using the Scraps of Elegance "Wonderful" April kit, this time, a set of purplish blue cards...

As you can see, both cards use the BoBunny Secret Garden papers as well as brads and buttons from that same collection, all featured in the kit.

Serenity (Blue Fern Studios "Tranquility" Collection)

I am back today to reveal to you this layout created with the newest Tranquility collection from Blue Fern Studios.  Believe me when I say, this collection is a beauty and a must-have!!

The name of this collection is perfect... all papers give a soothing sense of calm.

To go along with this collection, Blue Fern Studios has released some new chipboard pieces, including the title of my layout as well as beautiful flowers and more Imagine Ink colours.

One of my favorite chipboard pieces is this delectable feather called La Plume.

I covered it with Snow embossing powder and dipped one side of it in pearly gold paint.

I absolutely adore this quote and found that it went perfectly with my page.

The wood grain design on this paper looks so real... it's gorgeous!

When I think of my nieces, I think shabby chic and this layout falls right under that category!

This is my 3rd layout created with the "Wonderful" kit from Scraps of Elegance.

Lots of pink with touches of fuscia and purple... flowers are a combination of Prima and Blue Fern Studios.

This adorable bird cage stamp is included in the kit.

My niece Daphne... all pretty in pink!

Fly Tag (More Than Words Mini Challenge)

Who's up for a Mini Challenge?!

The More Than Words April Mini Challenge has just been released and this is the tag that I created just for it!

The word this month is: FLY

You have to include the word FLY on a card, tag or ATC and share it on the More Than Words Facebook page by the end of the month to be eligible to win!

I used some vintage Bo Bunny to create my tag and added the word using stickers from the collection.

My tag started off beige but then I covered it with different mists and paints to make it a soft peachy hue... combined with some stamping and Imaging Ink embossing powders to add some blue.

I fussy cut some butterflies and popped them up with 3D foam stickers.  Added a couple flowers and then, finally, everything dabbed with white paint and voila!  One very shabby chic tag done in less than 15 minutes!

I can't wait to see what the word FLY inspires you to create!!

A Love So Wonderful (Scraps of Elegance "Wonderful" kit)

I told you that I would be back with some more "Wonderful" creations using the April Scraps of Elegance kit and here is one layout featuring a very wonderful woman in my life... none other than my MOM!

Along with beautiful BoBunny papers and embellishments, the April SOE kit comes with lovely Blue Fern Studios chipboard (my FAVORITE!), pretty peach coloured burlap and lots of flowers in the main kit and the floral add-on!

I love the combination of peach, pink and brown.

Using a sepia tone picture (doesn't my mom look awesome!?) helps bring together the chipboard pieces that I stained brown and the stitching done with brown thread.

What A Wonderful World (Scraps of Elegance April Kit & BoBunny Sketch)

I have been quite busy happily creating with the latest Scraps of Elegance kit!

The April kit is called Wonderful and let me tell you, it couldn't be a more perfect name!

It features some gorgeous papers as well as stickers, brads and buttons from the BoBunny Secret Garden collection and lots more wonderful elements!

I created this 1st layout with the kit inspired by the BoBunny April Sketch Challenge.

I replaced the diamond shapes by punched circles and opted for a very Springtime theme!

So many gorgeous flowers and 2 very beautiful velvety butterflies...

These pictures were taken by my friend's son... no doubt a photographer in the making!

Things got a little SKETCHY in my scraproom the past couple days...

Yes, you guessed right!  I was playing with the latest Stuck?! Sketches sketch!

As always, there is awesome DT inspiration and fabulous prizes up for grabs!

You will recognize the beautiful Bo Bunny Star-Crossed collection.  Being an English literature major and therefore an obvious fan of William Shakespeare, I immediately fell in love with this line.

As you can see, I created a messy background with lost of misting and stamping.

How sweet is Ella on this picture... all ready for a first day of school!
