You Are Loved Forever
(Scraps of Elegance DT - "Be Mine" kit)

I have been busy in my scraproom these last few days playing with the latest Scraps of Elegance kit, and this is the first of 4 projects I will be sharing with you over the coming days.

Get ready for some love, hearts and Valentine overload!!

The 'Be Mine' kit features the beautiful Heartland collection from Blue Fern Studios
plus loads of embellishments, flowers, die cuts from other fabulous brands.

For this page, I also used many items from the Elements and Floral add-ons.

I also decided to play along with a few fun challenges.

Tic Tac Toe challenges are always a blast, and this one from Scrap Our Stash is no exception
and it went so well with the overall theme of the SOE kit.
I decided to go diagonally, following the blog name watermark on the board,
so I added some small die cut doilies, a tag, and of course, lots of hearts.

The other challenge that inspired me is this Valentine-themed board
on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking blog.  It couldn't have been a more perfect match!

And now let's take a closer look at my layout:

I was in the mood for stitching so I added handmade stitches along the outline of the damask design on the paper...

and some more around the heart.

The kit contains a pack of dozens of love-themed die-cuts from Kaisercraft that includes many beautiful quotes like the one below.  It seemed to go so well with the picture and the sentiment behind my inspiration for this layout.

I'll be back in a couple days with more 'Be Mine' creations.

A Lifetime
(Scrap It With A Song GDT)

Back in December, I played along with the Scrap It with a Song challenge blog and it resulted in them inviting me to come back as a Guest Designer this month which I happily accepted!

This month, the 2 songs offered as inspiration are about love!
The rock song is The Cure - Lovesong and the pop song is Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling.
Click HERE to see the challenge details.

Both songs inspired me as I quite obviously chose a love-theme for my page. But most especially, I had The Cure's "Lovesong" in mind as it just so happens to be one of my all-time favorites!  I listen to it and of course I think of my boyfriend who embodies all the lovey dovey feelings expressed in the lyrics. I will always love him... beyond a lifetime. :)

Let's take a look at the details...

I used a combination of BoBunny papers (I absolutely LOVE the classic woodgrain), some Dusty Attic chipboards and a mixture of flowers and embellishments.

Huge thanks to Scrap It with a Song for having me as a GDT!

Always Remember
(ScrapBerry's DT Reveal)

This is an exciting day as I am sharing my very first post
on the ScrapBerry's blog today, featuring the 'Photo Archive' collection
and lots of other fabulous products from this wonderful brand!

After spending hours admiring my huge box of DT supplies,
I was immediately inspired by this collection and this is the layout that I created:

As you can see, my page has a theme of timeless memories to be cherished always.
I used a few ScrapBerry's embellishments from other collections that I found
went along perfectly with the 'Photo Archive' papers, including a 'French Journey'
Polymer white clock and a golden camera metal charm from 'Around the World'.

I love all the images included on these papers that I could fussy cut
and layer on my layout.  You can even see glimpses of real photo strips in there.

I used some of the stamps from the collection along with mists, paints,
a polkadot stencil and lots of microbeads to create a mixed media background.

These photos were taken at my mom's 65th birthday celebration,
which my brother and I planned and hosted,
a very important moment that I absolutely wanted to document.

It was such a special evening spent with over 100 family members and friends,
and my mom was the star of the party!

Love You Card
(ScrapBerry's February Challenge)

I am so happy to finally be able to share with you my very first DT project for ScrapBerry's!

After months of shipping discrepancies, I received my HUGE box of products (Thank you so much ScrapBerry's!!) and was able to put together this sweet Valentine's card, just in time for the February challenge.

The ScrapBerry's February challenge is all about LOVE/VALENTINE!
You can learn more about it right HERE and see loads of other beautiful DT inspiration.

While looking through all the ScrapBerry's papers in my new stash, my eye was immediately drawn to this pretty pink and blue plaid design which I knew I had to use right away!  Then I found this darling little girl image on the Mother's Treasure papers so adorable that I decided to use her as the focal point of my card along with chipboard elements, rhinestone curls and lovely cherry blossoms paper flowers.

It was a very simple card to make, but yet sweet and adorable.

Thank you so much for dropping by!  I will be back in 2 days with another ScrapBerry's creation!

So Happy Together
(More Than Words February DT Reveal)

It's the month of LOVE and we have a very special challenge for you at More Than Words to celebrate February in all its lovey dovey glory!

And here is the layout I created for the occasion!

Here is the More Than Words February challenge:

Word Inspiration - TOGETHER
Creative Challenge - AMPERSAND

You can view more details on this challenge right HERE on the More Than Words blog
and at the same time see loads of beautiful DT inspiration and amazing prizes up for grabs.

The word TOGETHER inspired me to create a layout about my very favorite scrapbooking subject: my boyfriend and I and the special love we share. We are 'so happy' together as the chipboard title says.  For the creative challenge, I used a giant chipboard AMPERSAND that I found on my last stroll in the craft store. I knew it would be perfect for this challenge. I added another smaller ampersand in gold on top of the big one.

As you can see, I chose to accent my page with lots of gold using embossing powder on the chipboard and lots of mist.

I added a quote which coincidentally also includes an ampersand. :)

I love the look of the big white ampersand against the bright pink background and gold and black accents.

I really hope that you enjoy this layout and that you will play along with us at More Than Words!
