WOW! I'm on a creative roll these days! I should be on vacation every day. :)
The sad truth is that I only have 1 week left and it's going by way too fast!
I will be working on many DT projects during this week off that I will only be able to share with you in the coming weeks, but today, let's look at a layout I created to play along with 2 great challenges!
I took inspiration from this elegant August mood board from Scrap Around the World,
designed by Marilyn Rivera, whose fashion designing style I admire a lot.
I was particularly moved by the first image in the mood board,
the colors, the distressed effect, the long flowy dress and of course the quote.
I also used Sketch #121 at Sketchabilities as my design base.
To create this layout, I've used papers and embellishments from the Bo Bunny Somewhere in Time collection, as well as many 2Crafty chipboard pieces and beautiful flowers from Prima and Petaloo.
I've always loved this quote! I know that some people really do care about what I create,
but the point is that even if absolutely nobody cared, it wouldn't matter...
I would still create
because it is infused in me and it makes me happy.
In this case you could say that my scraproom is my runway
and I love creating my very own fashion show with every single project I make in there.
The main focal point of my layout is this gorgeous Elise's Dress Form from 2Crafty
to which I've stuck wings from the Winged Hearts set.
On the dress form, I used distress ink, acrylic paint, crackle medium and metallic champagne paint.
On the wings, I added some sparkle texture medium and gold perfect pearls.
One last look...
