Every month, I love using My Creative Scrapbook kits to create a couple double-page layouts for myself or for my friends who give me pictures of precious family moments to scrapbook.

This layout commemorates my friend Nathalie's son Tristan's 1st birthday, 

complete with the traditional birthday cake mess!

I couldn't have asked for a more fun and cheerful collection as Echo Park Paper We Are Family to scrapbook this special event.  Look at the adorable air balloon!  Love it!

I've got one more layout to share with you today, using the August Main kit.

This is my 3rd layout done with the August Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

I especially love how this layout turned out, from the colors to the design.

It also shows how well both Echo Park Paper and My Mind's Eye products blend together in this kit.

 

And of course, my layout wouldn't be complete without some handmade stitches!

We Are Family (MCS August Main Kit - Part 2 & MME July Sketch Challenge)

Get ready because it's going to be a busy day!

I'm going to be sharing with you 4 posts throughout the day in order to show you all my other layouts (the first one being on yesterday's post) created with the August Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

This layout was inspired by My Mind's Eye July Sketch Challenge as seen below:

The Main kit featuring a mixture of Echo Park Paper and My Mind's Eye, I was able to focus on mainly MME papers and embellishments for this layout.  I used the Chalk Studio II 'Together' paper as well as Cut & Paste Flair Presh 'Noted' Small Decorative Brads, 'Good Times' Decorative Buttons and 'Good Times' Decorative Stamps.

I decided to use the stamps on the background with black and white embossing powder to create some texture and to have them stand out after I misted the paper in different colours.

I even used some packaging covered in washi tape to make a cute little tag slipped behind the picture.

 

The picture is of us with our beautiful fun nieces, Ella and Daphne.

So grateful to My Mind's Eye for the sketch inspiration

I created with the Main kit as well as the Limited Edition kit this month!

For this first day of reveal and this fun blog hop, I decided to share with you my favourite project from each of these kits.

Main Kit 

This layout really displays the essence of the Main kit with all its fun colours and patterns from the Echo Park We Are Family collection matched up with buttons and brads from My Mind's Eye.  I also had fun using the decorative tape, creating very funky flowers with it.

I was inspired by this adorable sketch from PageMaps.

Limited Edition Kit

These pictures of my oldest niece Ella when she was younger are very precious to me.  She had come to visit with her parents and Yves and I bought her a kit and a bubble making set.  We had a lot of fun on a beautiful Summer's day... and I was able to capture the moment.  What more beautiful papers than the dreamy 'Strawberry Fields' collection from Webster's Pages to scrapbook this darling pictures!

August Sneaks from My Creative Scrapbook!

In only 5 days, it will be the full reveal of the new kits over at My Creative Scrapbook!

And we're celebrating this month's reveal along with a fun BLOG HOP!

You heard right, there will be loads of inspiration from the DT and some great prizes from MCS.

August is one of my favorite months because my Summer holidays usually always are in August (I'm actually counting the days right now until i'm off work for 2 whole weeks!) and this year it especially looks very promising for creativity with these gorgeous kits that Pam has put together.
