SWEETNESS Layout
(Dusty Attic DT - January Mood Board & Sketch 4)

It's time for me to share with you
my 2nd DT project for The Dusty Attic!

I was inspired by this truly gorgeous mood board from The Dusty Attic:

I also based my layout design on this beautiful sketch designed
by the fabulous Jen Hedger, also owner of Dusty Attic.
Jen has created a sketch for each week of the year!

As you can see, I was mostly inspired by the colour palette in the mood board.

I chose the word Sweetness from the Word Pack #20 which is so fitting
for this layout of my darling furbaby whose name is Sugar.

I thought it would be really cute to add a couple Skeleton Fish Bones, mini and regular size.
I also lined up some pieces of the Heart Attack Border #1 covered with embossing powder.

On the background, you can see some stenciling using the Squared stencil
which I used with acrylic paint over some blue misting.

I really love using arrows on my pages and the new Tribal Arrows in the Dusty Attic collection are absolutely fabulous. I covered this one from the Set #2 as well as the Heart Arrows #2 with light aqua embossing powder. I did the same to the Fans #2 which I used as flowers. I really love them!

Finally, I painted over the Wordplay #4 and the Page Pebbles #3 with beige acrylic paint and then filled in the letters with a fine tip black marker. And in case you were wondering, the cute little cat badges are from Cuts2luv.

Don't you agree that Sugar is sweetness galore?!

Now, let's take a look at the Dusty Attic products used.

and to see gorgeous inspiration from the More Than Words DT.
Remember that in order to participate, you have to share your project
on the More Than Words FB page right HERE by the end of the month.

I decided to use the word SAY on a card with a love theme.

I am also playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge 'Have a Heart'.

I used a lot of leftover stash to create my card,
going through my old chipboard die-cuts, tags and flowers.

I don't often use sequins anymore, but I still love them!

I love how my card turned out!

Thank you for dropping by!

Hope you will play along with us at More Than Words!

HAPPINESS BLOOMS FROM WITHIN Layout
(Dusty Attic DT)

I am so thrilled to stay on the fabulous Dusty Attic team for another year!

For my very first Dusty Attic project of the year, I wanted to create something
personal using a photo of mine and an inspiring title
to remind me that it all starts from within.

I colored my title with some green shimmery paint which I also dabbed on my background.

Then using the Clockworks stencil with the Dusty in Colour Soot paint,
I created some cogs and gears design on my page to match the chipboard used.

One of the focal point is this gorgeous Industrial Dragonfly. I find that it looks very
dashing contrasted with the black Cog Border #3 and Script Designer Disc underneath.
The Dusty Attic has a variety of these Designer Discs in their store,
each one of them as gorgeous as the other.

On the Cog Border #3 as well as the Cogs Designer Discs, after painting them black,
I added embossing powder to give them a metallic look and then dabbed them with green.

You can see below all the Dusty Attic chipboard that I used on my page.

GOALS Art Journal Page
(More Than Words DT - January Main Challenge)

HAPPY 2019!!!

I am thrilled to kick off this first day of the new year with a brand new project
created for the More Than Words January main challenge...
and a brand new creative venture for me!

Here is the January challenge board from More Than Words.

Word Inspiration - GOALS
Creative Challenge - JOURNALING

You can find all you need to know about this challenge and the fabulous prizes
up for grabs as well as inspiration from the very talented MTW DT right HERE.

The word GOALS inspired me to create my first ever art journal page.
I always admired other people's art journals and thought this would be the perfect challenge
to have a go at it myself. My goal is to regularly add to this journal throughout the year.

I used some leftover stash and Dusty Attic chipboard titles to express my life goals
which I also wrote about in my handwritten JOURNALING.

I kept my spread fairly simple, adding splashes of faint blue and aqua colours
on the background with sprays and some stamping.

Even though I dreadfully HATE using my own handwriting on my projects,
I thought that it would make it more personal for the sake of the theme.

I love how my first art journal spread turned out and am looking forward to many more!

I wish you all a wonderful new year with full of creative inspiration!

I can only hope that I was able to inspire you a little today
to play along with this very first exciting MTW challenge for 2019!
