We Are Family (Scrap & Music #20)

It's time for another challenge reveal over at Scrap & Music!

 

This fabulous sketch is paired with the very popular song "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers.

Here is what I created:

 Whenever i hear the Hey Ho song, it makes my heart sing and i see bright fun colors and designs.

 I used several different chipboard pieces from 2Crafty on my layout including these adorable Circle Flowers and the Loopy Love Hearts Frame seen below.

  

 The picture is of my nieces having fun with their one and only cousin... 3 little girls who will undoubtedly be not only family, but also best friends forever.

Unconditional Love (OUAS & SATW)

Love is the greatest inspiration of all, isn't it?

Well, there are no challenge blogs that I love more nowadays than Once Upon A Sketch and Scrap Around the World, and I got creative with both their January challenge.

Over at Once Upon a Sketch, Nadia's beautiful sketch was the basis for my design along with the journalling theme of "Lessons learnt".

At Scrap Around the World, i got swooned in by this soft and beachy mood board.

(I especially loved the colors of the last image with the twine and sea glass.)

Merging these two challenges together inspired me to create this layout:

 My favorite beach-themed pattern paper has got to be the 9th Wave collection from 7Dots Studio.  When i saw SATW's mood board, i knew right away that i wanted to use these beautiful papers along with this picture of Yves writing me a love note on the beach.

My journalling talks about how Yves has taught me what is unconditional love.  I always knew that i would someday find my soul mate... i just never knew to what extent his love would change my life. 

Every day he inspires me to be a better person.

I created a very special layout with the Limited Edition kit, that is my '2014 Resolutions' layout. All the uplifting quotes from the New Year New You collection from Webster's Pages were my main inspiration.  I'm hoping that throughout the year, when i get discouraged and unmotivated, i can look at this layout and regain the willpower and dedication that will keep me reaching for my goals and dreams!

I have one more layout created with the Limited Edition kit that I will be sharing with  you during the monthly sketch reveal for My Creative Sketches on January 16th and keep note that you still have time to enter the December sketch contest.  Here's a sneak peek of my January layout until then.

My Creative Scrapbook January DT Reveal - Part 3

HERE and HERE, I showed you layouts created with the January Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  Today, it's time to share all my Limited Edition kit creations.

The Limited Edition kit features the New Year New You collection from Webster's Pages, 3 packs of beautiful Prima flowers and lots of many other top of the line products!

The first layout created with the LE kit is my favorite of this whole reveal.  I love the soft and elegant papers from WP and how they seemed to go perfectly with this precious pictures of my friend and her baby boy.

My Creative Scrapbook January DT Reveal - Part 2

Here's another look at the Main kit.

The star of my Little Winter Baby layout is my niece Ella during her 1st Christmas.  She is such a beauty - i can hardly believe that that was almost 10 years ago already!

For my 2nd double-page layout using the Main kit, I decided to go a bit more monochromatic, using most of the back designs (you can't see them in the kit picture) and softening the whole thing up with dabs of white shimmery paint and the beautiful white sheer ribbon included in the kit.
