World Card Making Day with Jillibean Soup

As you all know, yesterday was World Card Making Day and guess what i was doing? CARDS! :) I played along with some fun sketch challenges over at the Jillibean Soup blog. 

I have always loved Jillibean Soup products (so fun and adorable) although my stash of Jillibean goodies is very limited as my LSS doesn't carry it and i almost never order online.  But i really wanted to play along so i gathered up the only Jillibean Soup products i owned (to be exact, 2 sheets of patterned paper and 1 sheet of stickers from the Grandma's Lima Bean Soup collection) and i started creating!

It just goes to show that it doesn't take a lot to create 3 sweet and adorable cards!

2Crafty DT Reveal Shabby Chic Style 2

If you missed my post yesterday, you might want to check it out HERE. I continue today with my 2nd layout for 2Crafty, again going all shabby chic. The Eyes

I got the Eyes title especially to scrapbook this picture of mine which happens to be my favorite.

The Elise's Dress Form looks absolutely gorgeous adorned with a flowery shroud, using the Pointy Flower Vine.

I took one Avery Vine and cut it in pieces to add leafy flourishes throughout my layout.  It was covered with molding paste, then Glimmer Mist and white paint, the same as the title.

A must-have in any scrapbooker's chipboard stash is the Elegant Corners set.

And last but not least, Adornment Set 2.

2Crafty DT Reveal Shabby Chic Style 1

I'm very happy about this October reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard as I get to share with you 2 new layouts done in my very favorite scrapbooking style, "shabby chic".   You Make Me Happy

My definition of "shabby chic" is soft, vintage, distressed, feminine with lots of blooms, lace, trims, pearls and everything washed in white.

The background paper and several cardstock embellishements used for this layout are from the Indie Chic collection by My Mind's Eye. 

I used glimmer mist, white and copper paint to distress the 2Crafty Scrabble tiles.

The Loopy Font Happy title was covered with black embossing paste and then dabbed with white while the pretty Sakura Flowers were painted copper and also dabbed with white.

I love chipboard flourishes and 2Crafty offers so many beautiful designs, including this one, Angie's Vines. 

 I used both of the vines, the larger and the smaller piece, cutting the bases to tuck them here and there under the different flower clusters.
